Red House

For a while, during the early September rains, I was worried that perhaps the autumn colours were going to pass us by this year, just fading from wet to brown. But they did not. Nature is offering an awesome display of colour just now.

Dream Home?

Once upon a time, I imagine this was somebody’s dream home.
Or at least their status symbol!
Today, still an impressive house, but an office building.

The House on the Hill

In the summer, you don't see much of this house from the street down below. In fact you can't get close to it from any point of view. It is surrounded by high stone walls, iron fences and closed gates, and gives a very strong impression of "keep away!" Which suggests to me it might still be a private home rather than turned into offices for some company or other.

Typically Swedish

A red wooden house with white corners, in rural surroundings - as "typically Swedish" as it gets! Whether we really want that kind of home and life or not, it is somehow inscribed in our national soul as the image of what it should be like...!
