Water sprinklers on the football (soccer) field earlier this week.
Weather forecasts predict a hot weekend.

Very interesting quotes you found. We are just having a couple days break from a heat wave, and now it's starting back again. Wouldn't you just love to run through those sprinklers? A temptingly cool photo.
like Ginny, we had a break, we woke up to 72 degrees, it has been drizzling rain for 2 days and no sun. that is good and bad. love the sun, but the water is needed just like your soccer field. I used to love playing in a sprinkler when i was a child.
I have to say that I'm sure that the average gardener could cite a lot of things more frustrating than a short hose! Usually to do with things that eat plants.
Yes GB I'm sure that true. Myself though I have to carry bottles of water through my flat to water my plants on the balcony and in sunny summer weather they are very thirsty indeed...
