The bush or tree that you can see between / behind the two trees in the foreground is a hawthorn. The picture to the right is the same hawthorn in September last year.

what a difference sunshine can make on a bush or tree, beautiful winter and summer. the view of the stream looks very much like the stream in our state park here that i posted last week. our countries are so far apart in miles, but so very much alike in many ways.
