DawnTreader's Picture Book
For this blog, I have chosen a template that allows me to show pictures as big as possible . Some of the things you usually find in the sidebar, you will find here at the bottom of the page instead - Blog Archive, Followers etc.
My camera is a Nikon Coolpix 4600.
For basic editing of most photos and collages I use Picasa 3.
Sometimes I also experiment with some more "artistic" effects in Photoshop Elements or Paint Shop Pro.

Wow!! Now that is grand.
Do I judge from the label 'traditions' that this is something with a history?
A big decorated tree like this in the town square I think is a new tradition - at least in our town. But it connects to much older traditions. Read more about it in today's post at my other blog The Island of the Voices
I see a rooster in the Easter tree. is it real? i saw on Ginny's site you said you love Witness. that is my all time favorite movie and I have watched it at least a dozen times over the years since it was made.
I want this in my town.
I like these pictures of the tree better than the one on your other blog. But your other blog has the very interesting story, though. They are amazing! And I love the rooster sitting on the birdhouse with all the feathers flying around him! A sight that most of us would never get to see!
Sandra - the rooster is not real. Roosters are common in Easter decorations as well.
Ginny - I have two blogs because I found from looking at other people's that 1/ some photos show off much better large and against black background, but 2/ I prefer a light background for longer texts.
Here I focus on the pictures, without much explanation. And all photos in this blog are my own.
At The Island of the Voices, my focus is writing, with pictures as illustration or inspiration. (And there I also sometimes use other pictures than my own.)
Dawn Treader...I am learning a lot from your posts today...very interesting and I will jump to your other blog to see what you have there.
Dan
