Oh how beautiful! The sky mostly, but also the river and the little bridge in the distance. So it is your last day of summer? Ours is coming up in a few week. What a great idea to document the first and last days of each season, and post the pictures! I think I will do it!!
I don't think that in the UK we have a definite start to autumn but I gather from various blogs that most people think of it as 1st September. I bet if you asked a variety of British people you'd get various different answers.
I wouldn't say there is really a definite day for the change of season either. I just needed a title for the post! But when dividing the year into four seasons, in Sweden we do tend to count September, October and November as autumn; December, January and February as winter; March, April and May as spring; June, July and August as summer.

For this blog, I have chosen a template that allows me to show pictures as big as possible . Some of the things you usually find in the sidebar, you will find here at the bottom of the page instead - Blog Archive, Followers etc.
My camera is a Nikon Coolpix 4600. For basic editing of most photos and collages I use Picasa 3. Sometimes I also experiment with some more "artistic" effects in Photoshop Elements or Paint Shop Pro.

Hi, you posted just before me on Skywatch.
You have a real summer's day there - who would suspect that it was September?
