Wood Anemones & Hepaticas – Vitsippor & Blåsippor
The white Wood Anemone is our most common wild spring flower.
It grows almost anywhere, and in suitable conditions often form large colonies.
The blue Hepatica is also called Liver Leaf in English, because of the leaf resembling the three lobes of the liver. (It is also sometimes called Liverwort, but that name can also refer to an entirely different flower; see reference in the Wikipedia article.)
The Hepatica is much more rare here than the wood anemone, but in some protected places (like in this nature reserve), colonies of these can also be found.

fields of lovely blooms. The blue ones are very pretty I know them at all.
I wish I could be there with you and bring ginny with me to see all this beautiful you are seeing. what a wonderful spot to visit with your camera. beauty and peace in one spot. great shots on all of them.
Sandra is right, I adore wildflowers! And getting to see these from Sweden is special. What a horrible name for a pretty little blue flower, even if a liver does have three lobes, really!!
