The Dream of the Secret Garden - ‘Live Rust’

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
~ Matthew 6:19-21 ~

For the introduction, go back to the first post from last Monday.

This is another favourite, I still prefer the shield though.

the scripture is perfect. this one i like the design ok, but not the rust. I like old things, but this i am not real fond of. it does look reall pretty sitting in front of that old building. that is a good shot the way you caught it. this is a gate i would not want.

This is my least favorite gate. Did you know that Neil Young did an album, "Live Rust"? The song "Rust Never Sleeps" was on it. But what is that wonderful, charming building?

In the museum setting I love the rusty gate (and almost any old rusty thing). In my own garden (if I had one) I'd probably prefer a less rusty one...

Ginny, I don't remember that album or song by Neil Young. I'll have to check if I can find it on YouTube.

The building is... an old house or cottage... sorry, I don't remember all the details... 18th century I think, timber, and roof made of reeds.
