It's a peace symbol! I wonder what it has to do with tradition? Perhaps in Sweden, this symbol has different meaning, though. It is so much fun to look forward to a new gate every day!! And the bible verse is, of course, perfect!
I don't know of a different meaning of the symbol in Swedish, and I don't know what the artist was thinking of with the title 'Tradition'.
What came to mind for me was the phrase "peace to all who enter here". But I'm not sure of the origin of that.
I like the gate and agree with both of you, it does not say traditon to me at all. it is very nice and i to am waiting each day to see these gates. i wish ginny and i could be there with you to walk among all the wonderful things you find to show us.
