“Now you see me… Now you don’t…”
Earlier this week I was complaining I didn’t see any colourful butterflies around this summer. The next day, I caught sight of this one – a Small Tortoiseshell (Lat. Aglais urticae, Sw. Nässelfjäril).
Can you see it in the bottom righthand corner? Pretty well camouflaged with its wings folded, isn’t it…

What a lovely collage! Are the wings black underneath? We have many big black butterflies here, I think they may be black swallowtails.
the one in the lower right is my favroite, it looks like an old victorian painting or something that would have hung in a parlor way back then.

Hi Leatherwood Rose, and thanks for visiting my blog. The template is one of the old Blogger ones, I don't think they're available any more(?) There was one without sidebar and that was what I wanted for this blog, to be able to show the pictures as big as possible. I think you can probably achieve the same thing by changing the layout of one of the new ones.
